Surrey County Cricket Club hosts a number of events throughout the season for all Members and Junior Members to attend.
Some events may require Members’ to purchase tickets or register attendance. Please note for some events, non Members’ prices are available in order for Members to invite guests.

Monday December 16th – My Surrey, Mulled Wine, Mince Pies and Forum Evening
An evening showcasing the film ‘My Surrey’ followed by a members forum. The event will be held in the Long Room where mince pies and mulled wine will be supplied. The Ali Brown bar will be open from 6.30pm and the film will start at 7.00pm. There will be an opportunity for members to donate a Christmas present to the club’s charitable partner ‘Evelina London Children’s Hospital‘. Spaces are limited and you will be required to book here (bookings can be made from Wednesday 12th November).
Tuesday December 16th – The Master’s Club Lunch
A Luncheon to commemorate the birthday of the late Sir John Berry Hobbs will be held in the John Major Room at 1.00 p.m. The traditional Master’s Club luncheon of Roast Lamb and Apple Pie will be served.

January 201416th January – Members’ Wine Tasting
60 Surrey CCC members came to the Kia Oval in January for the first members’ event of the year – a wine tasting to choose the 2014 pavilion wine selection.
With over 30 wines to taste from eight different countries, the free event was a great start to the year and a chance for Surrey members to set foot inside their Pavilion for the first time in 2014.
Wines selected by the Members will now be made available throughout the summer in bars within the Pavilion. The top selections were as follows:
- White: Sancerre Blanc Domaine de la Chezatte, Sauvignon Blanc (France) – 3.63/5
- Red: Te Awa Hawkes Bay Cabernet Merlot 2007 – New Zealand – 3.83/5
- Rose: Spy Valley Pinot Noir Rose 2010 – New Zealand – 3.73/5
February 201420th February – Members’ Supper
A members’ super was held on Thursday 20th February in the Alcock Room, giving the chance to members to meet up and look ahead to the 2014 cricket season.
A full carvery supper was served,while a short video was played looking behind the scenes of the squads training progress so far in 2014. A slide show was also visible throughout the event including some photos of Surrey teams go by that have been stored in clubs historic archives.
March 201424th March – Members’ Pre Season Lunch
The annual Members Pre Season Lunch welcomed over 60 members to the Kia Oval on Monday 24th March.
Members were given the opportunity to meet the full cricket squad and listen to a short Q&A session with Mark Church and Gareth Batty before a 2 course lunch was served.
April 201408th April – New Members’ Welcome Event
During SCCC’s first 2014 LV = County Championship home game where Surrey played Glamorgan, Surrey CCC hosted the New Members Welcome Event.
The event welcomed all new Members’ into the Pavilion for tea and coffee after the day’s play. With the opportunity to meet the Chief Executive and Membership staff, members were provided information regarding the Pavilion’s facilities and given the chance to ask a member of staff any questions they had regarding their membership.20th April – EASTER FUNDAY POSTPONED
A family sports day was ran over 2 days in August with access to a bouncy castles, face paintings, player signings, cricket/football coaching, surf simulator, balloons, music, dancing and activity station.
Tuesday 5th August – Royal London One Day Cup, Surrey v Kent
Wednesday 6th August – Royal London One Day Cup, Surrey v Sussex24th April – AGM
The AGM took place in the England Suite at 6pm on Thursday 24th April. Over 150 members attended the meeting.
June & July 201402nd June – Members’ Forum
On Monday 2nd June the club hosted the 2nd members forum of the year. Breakfast was available on Day 2 of the Surrey v Worcestershire LV=County Championship match, in the John Major Room, OCS Stand. The forum was chaired by Chief Executive Richard Gould, Chairman Richard Thompson and Director of Cricket Alec Stewart.
24th June – Schools’ Day28th June – 1st July – Beer Festival
This year’s Beer Festival took place over 4 days during the LV=County Championship Cricket Match v Hampshire, starting on the Saturday 28th June.
SCCC Members enjoyed free entry with over 50 real ales and ciders available.
The LVCC match against Glamorgan was a popular away trip for many of our travelling supporters.
As such, The Surrey CCC Supporters Club organised a get together for all Surrey supporters travelling to North Wales.They meet at a The Rhos Fynach pub on the second day’s play Monday 7th July.
All travelling Surrey supporters were welcome, irrespective of whether they are a member of the Supporters Club.

August 201405th August – Members’ Forum
The second members forum of the year took place on Tuesday 5th August ahead of the Surrey v Kent Spitfires one day cup. The forum was lead by Chief Executive Richard Gould, Academy Director Gareth Townsend and players Zafar Ansari and Chris Tremlett.14th August – The Bedser Lunch
The annual Bedser Lunch took place on Thursday 14th August, ahead of the Investec Test Match England v India. The event was hosted by Sir Trevor McDonald, with guest speaker Sunil Gavaskar. September 201416th September – End of Season Awards
Surrey’s final LV = County Championship match against Derbyshire at the Kia Oval hosted the End of Season Awards 2014 in association with the Surrey Supporters’ Club.
The event took place in the Historic Pavilion Long Room after the days play.
Cheese and biscuits were available prior to the event starting.

30th October – My Surrey Premiere
Starting from 7pm and hosted by Mark Church of BBC London and Surrey TV, the first half of the evening will see the premiere of ‘My Surrey’, a short film that highlights the unique and special qualities that make Surrey County Cricket Club the place it is.
Featuring interviews with club greats including Micky Stewart and Pat Pocock as well as club Members, high profile fans, current players and members of staff – My Surrey will also be released over the course of the winter as a series of short films exclusively available on the Club’s online channels: kiaoval.com, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
The second half of the evening will give Members the chance to watch some amazing historic footage recently acquired by the club. Starting with a series of shorts made about Sir Jack Hobbs in the early 20th century, the videos also cover Sir Leonard Hutton’s record breaking innings at The Oval in 1938, the club’s glory years in the 1950s and some fascinating personal moments from great players such as Douglas Jardine and Peter May.
