The ECB have confirmed South East Stars’ fixtures for 2022, with the Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Trophy to return from May.
Stars represent Surrey & Kent in the regional structure of women’s cricket, the elite level of the domestic game.
Four Surrey Women are contracted professionally; Alice Capsey, Aylish Cranstone, Danielle Gregory & Bryony Smith with several more expected to feature regularly on pay-as-you-play contracts.
Stars are the defending champions of the Charlotte Edwards Cup, the T20 competition, after lifting the trophy at the Ageas Bowl in 2021. The Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Trophy is the 50 over competition.
The Charlotte Edwards Cup matches against Central Sparks and Sunrisers will be held at Guildford Cricket Club, with remaining home fixtures to be fulfilled at Kent’s Beckenham ground.
The final of the Charlotte Edwards Cup will be played at the Northampton County Ground on the 11th June and the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Trophy final will draw the curtain on the summer at Lord’s on the 25th September.
