Squad named for Middlesex clash

Cricket - LV= County Championship - Division One - Day One - Surrey v Somerset - Kia Oval

Team Director Chris Adams has named a thirteen man squad for the LV=County Championship match against Middlesex at Lord’s which starts on Thursday.

Arun Harinath has recovered from his hand injury that kept him out of the game against Sussex last week. Jon Lewis comes into the squad to replace Stuart Meaker who has still not recovered from the thigh injury he sustained in the opening game of the season against Somerset.

Surrey head to Lord’s having drawn their game against Sussex last week. Middlesex have won their opening two matches of the season against Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Chris Adams commented, “ The London derby is always a special game and I have no doubt that this will be a tough and hard fought match against Middlesex. “

“Our recent record in the Championship at Lord’s is not good and that is something we will be aiming to change over the next four days”.

“Middlesex are the form side in the division and we are looking forward to testing ourselves against them after our solid performances against Somerset and Sussex”.
