An exciting young pace bowler whose stock is rapidly rising across the world, Stuart Meaker has a big part to play in the future of Surrey.
After a superb start to the 2011 campaign was way-layed by a poorly timed injury, the PG Academy graduate came back with great guns, becoming a vital part of Surrey’s late season promotion push when he took four wickets in seven balls against Northamptonshire at Wantage Road.
His 47 first-class wickets at 22.8 were rewarded with a place on England’s tour to India and he made his International debut in Mumbai in the fourth One Day International.
