Stuart Barnes, Assistant Head Coach of Surrey CCC, is riding the 100km London Night Rider for Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
‘Barnsey’ is a top athlete but inexperienced in the saddle, so completing the course will be a great achievement as well as an opportunity to raise money for an excellent cause.
Evelina London, based on the St. Thomas’ Hospital site just up the road from the Kia Oval, cares for children and young people from across south London and south east England. It is a very special place that does incredibly important work and the club are honoured to be partnered with them.
Amongst the amazing services provided by Evelina London are a PICU (Paediatric Intensive Care Unit) as well as specialist services such as antenatal diagnosis through to childhood and into adolescence and a specialist renal (kidney) unit.

Surrey CCC teamed up with Evelina earlier this year and is supporting the charity throughout the 2014. Fundraising kicked off with Caesar the Lion successfully completing the Virgin London Marathon earlier this year and will continue through a variety of different events throughout the season and beyond.
