The Kia Oval’s 101st Test Match will see England take on India from 7th to 11th September 2018.
2018 will also see Australia back at the Kia Oval for a day-night One Day International on Wednesday 13th June, a year ahead of their arrival for the 2019 Ashes.
Following on from an unforgettable 100th Test at the Oval, in which a Moeen Ali hat trick secured victory for England over South Africa on the fifth day, the historic ground will now host Virat Kohli’s India – the number one Test side in the world – in a Test starting on Friday 7th September, the final Test of a five-match series.
In 2014, the last time England faced India in a Test series in the UK, the home side claimed a 3-1 victory; but in last winter’s Test series in the sub-continent, the Indians defeated England 4-0.
With the 2017 One-Day International at the Kia Oval still to play, and set to feature titans of West Indies cricket, Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels, against England’s big hitting stars including Alex Hales, Ben Stokes and Surrey’s very own Jason Roy and Tom Curran, the 2018 ODI has been confirmed against Australia on 13th June 2018, in what will be the first ODI of the summer in England. Starting at 1pm, the match will be played in a day-night format.
