Frequently Asked Questions Regarding the 2020 Test Match at The Kia Oval

The 2020 Test Match at The Kia Oval between England and West Indies will now not take place at The Kia Oval this summer.

All 2020 Test Match ticket purchasers have been contacted via email, and can claim a refund or transfer their tickets over to the 2021 Test Match at The Kia Oval, between England and India, for no extra cost.

I have tickets for the 2020 Test Match and I want these to be transferred to the 2021 Test Match. What do I need to do?

You do not need to do anything. Your 2020 Test Match tickets will be transferred to the 2021 Test Match. If you selected to receive eTickets, these will be emailed to you nearer the time, or your tickets will be updated in the TX.IS app. If you selected printed tickets, these will be distributed to you approximately 42 days prior to the 2021 Test Match.

 

I am a Surrey and England Member, but I did not purchase my seat for the 2020 Test. Can I sit in my seat for the 2021 Test Match?

You will be able to purchase your seat for the 2021 Test match on Monday 20th July regardless if someone has purchased your seat for the 2020 Test Match. Please be assured that you will be able to sit in your Surrey and England seat for the 2021 Test Match.

 

I am a County/T20/County 16-25/Championship Member that purchased a seat in the Micky Stewart Members’ Pavilion for the 2020 Test. Will I be moved to a seat outside of the Pavilion?

If you have purchased a seat that belongs to a Surrey and England Member then yes, your seat for the 2021 Test Match will be moved. However, our Members and Supporter Services team will do their best to provide you with a seat as close as possible to the one you purchased and of the same value, or higher.

 

I am a Surrey and England Member with a seat in the Pavilion/Bedser/Peter May/1845 Stand. I want to move my seat in to the new development for the 2021 season, including the Test Match. How do I do this?

The new development at The Kia Oval will be complete for the 2021 Test Match. You will be able to move your Surrey and England Membership into the new development later this year and your 2021 International tickets will be within the new development. We will be in touch via email to provide full details of this and arrange for you to view the new seats if you wish to do so. Full details will also be provided in your Membership Renewal Pack later this year.

 

I only purchased a portion of my Test Match allocation tickets that I am allowed as part of my Membership category. Can I purchase more at a later date?

Yes. As a 2020 Member of Surrey County Cricket Club, you will be able to purchase further tickets for the 2021 Test Match on Tuesday 4th August 2020. We will contact you directly via email nearer this date as a reminder. Tickets will be available at the same price as your 2020 Test Match tickets.

 

I am a Member, but I did not buy any tickets for the 2020 Internationals. When will I be able to buy tickets for the 2021 Internationals?

All 2020 Members will be able to purchase 2021 International tickets from Tuesday 4th August. We will contact all Members via email prior to this date providing full details as to how you can secure 2021 International tickets.

 

What will be the cost of purchasing additional tickets for the 2021 Test Match at a later date, as part of my Membership allocation?

Ticket prices for the 2021 Test Match will be available for you to purchase at the same price as the 2020 Test Match.

 

I want to upgrade my Membership for next year to a category that includes a greater allocation of Test Match tickets. Can I purchase more tickets for the 2021 Test as part of my higher category Membership?

Yes, you will be able to do so. Please contact our Member and Supporter Services Team on tickets@surreycricket.com or 0203 946 0100 to discuss upgrading your Membership for the 2021 season. All 2020 Members of Surrey County Cricket Club will receive a generous increase in the number of tickets they can purchase for the 2021 Test Match, as a benefit for being a Member with us this year.

 

I purchased all tickets within my Membership category allocation for the 2020 Test Match. Will there be an opportunity for Members to purchase more tickets for the 2021 Test Match?

All 2020 Members of Surrey County Cricket Club will receive a generous increase in the number of tickets they can purchase for the 2021 Test Match, as a benefit for being a Member with us this year. Please keep an eye on your emails for further ticketing updates from The Kia Oval.

 

On what date will the Test Match and ODI take place at The Kia Oval in 2021?

We hope to have confirmation from the ECB on 2021 match dates later in the summer. However, The Kia Oval will host the Final Test of the series between England and India and this is expected to be in early September 2021.

 

If – once the 2021 Test Match dates have been confirmed- I cannot attend. Will I be given a refund?

Yes. If you cannot make the dates for the 2021 Test Match then you will be able to claim a refund. Once the ECB have announced the dates for our 2021 Test Match, ticket purchasers will have 28 days to notify us that they would like a refund. After this, a refund is not guaranteed.

 

I have tickets for Day 1/2/3/4/5 of the 2020 Test Match. Will I be allocated the same match-day, regardless of day of the week, for the 2021 Test Match?

Yes. If you have tickets for Day 1 of the 2020 Test Match, these will be transferred to Day 1 of the 2021 Test Match, regardless if this falls on a different day (i.e. a Friday rather than a Thursday). If, once the 2021 Test Match dates are confirmed, you are unable to attend that given Day, please contact our Member and Supporter Services team via tickets@surreycricket.com and they will move your tickets to a different day, subject to availability, or refund your tickets.

 

I have a number of tickets for the 2020 Test Match and I only want to transfer some of these tickets to 2021. What do I need to do to get a partial refund?

If you would like a partial refund for your 2020 Test Tickets, please contact our Member and Supporter Services team on tickets@surreycricket.com or 0203 946 0100 by Tuesday 30th June.

 

Can I move my tickets to a different area of the ground for the 2021 Test Match?

Yes. Your tickets from the 2020 Test Match will be rolled over into the 2021 Test Match in your existing seats. However, if you want to move your tickets to a different area of the ground, please contact our Member and Supporter Services team on 0203 946 0100 or tickets@surreycricket.com from 20th July. The team will be able to move your tickets to a different area subject to availability.

 

Will my tickets be in the same seat for the 2021 Test Match as for the 2020 Test Match?

Yes. All 2020 Test Match tickets will be transferred to the same seats for the 2021 Test Match. There will be an opportunity for Members to purchase additional tickets in other areas of the ground, if inventory allows, from Tuesday 4th August.

 

I was a Member in the Peter May Stand prior to 2020 and had been relocated for the season due to the ongoing development work at The Kia Oval. Where will my seat be allocated for the 2021 Test Match?

Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we temporarily moved your Surrey and England seat due to the new stand construction at The Kia Oval. Our Member and Supporter Services team are contacting all Members that were affected by the development to give them an opportunity to select a new seat, with priority in the new stand. Please ensure that your phone number and email address associated with your Membership is correct so that our team can contact you accordingly.

 

I also have tickets for the 2020 One-Day International at The Kia Oval. Will these tickets also be transferred to the 2021 One-Day International?

We are awaiting an update from the ECB regarding the status of the 2020 One-Day International at The Kia Oval. The fixture is scheduled to take place on 15th September as planned, though if this changes we will allow ticket purchasers to transfer their tickets to the 2021 One-Day International against Sri Lanka. We will update ticket purchasers with further information once we have this from the ECB.

 

I want a full refund on my tickets for the 2020 Test Match. How can I claim a refund?

Please visit this site to claim a full refund on your 2020 Test Match tickets from 1st June. The deadline for submitting a refund claim is 30th June. Refunds will then be made a maximum of seven working days after you have submitted your refund request.

 

I want a full refund on my tickets for the 2020 Test Match and I have completed the online form. When can I expect my refund?

I have tickets for the 2020 Test Match, and I am a Member, but I haven’t received any emails regarding my tickets. What do I do?

All ticket purchasers and Members have been emailed with full details of the refund process for 2020 Test Match via the email address associated with their ticketing account. If you have not received an email, please contact our Member and Supporter Services team on tickets@surreycricket.com and our Member and Supporter Services team will be able to look into why you have not received an email.

 

I have tickets listed on The Kia Oval’s ticket exchange platform. What will happen to these tickets?

These tickets will rollover to the 2021 Test Match, and if you would like to attend the England v India Test next summer, we advise you remove these tickets from the Ticket Exchange platform. If you are unable to attend the 2021 Test Match, please remove your tickets from the Ticket Exchange platform and we will provide you with a full refund. Please contact our Member and Supporter Services team to action this on 0203 946 0100 or tickets@surreycricket.com.

 

I purchased a 2020 Membership as I wanted access to 2020 Test Match tickets. I want a refund on the tickets and also want to cancel my Membership. How do I do this?

If you would like a refund for your 2020 Test Match tickets, please fill out this form before 30th June. 2020 Members of the Club will receive many benefits if they remain as Members into 2021 to thank them for their loyalty and support in such a difficult year. If you would like to enjoy these benefits, we advise that you remain as a Member throughout 2020. A decision on Membership refunds will be made later in the year when it is clearer what cricket will be played in 2020. However, if you would still like to cancel your Membership, then please contact tickets@surreycricket.com.

 

I am a Corporate Member. How will I receive a refund on the Test Match tickets within my Membership?

Your 2020 International tickets will be rolled over to the 2021 Internationals. If you cannot make the 2021 Internationals or would prefer a refund on your 2020 International tickets, please fill out this form before 30th June.

 

I am a Gold Debenture Member. Where will my seats be for the 2021 Test Match?

If you have bought your own Debenture seats and would like to transfer these to the 2021 Test Match, then you do not need to do anything and your seats will remain the same for next year’s Test. If you have purchased additional tickets in this area, on top of your own Debenture seats, we will contact you in July on the location of these seats as they are subject to availability in this area. If you would like a full refund, please fill out this form before 30th June.
