Surrey 2nd XI completed a red-ball friendly with Yorkshire in a draw after the first day was entirely washed out.
While many of the Surrey squad were in Worcestershire on Wednesday, the 2nd XI were forced to wait for the rain to clear.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t to be until Thursday as Ryan Patel hit 89 and Angus Dahl 62 in Surrey’s 239 all out at Guildford CC.
In response, Jack Leaning was the main man for Yorkshire with 115 before he finished not out with his side on 289/6.
Gareth Batty had been the pick of the bowlers with three wickets of his own while Ryan Patel took two and Matt Dunn one.
There was time only for 14 overs of Surrey’s second innings before handshakes were taken and the season ended in a draw for our 2nd XI.
