Surrey 2nds chased 295 in two sessions to beat Gloucestershire on the final day of their Second Eleven Championship match at Rockhampton CC.
The hosts began the day on 129/3, with a lead of 138 in their second innings but were 285/9 declared by lunch.
An unbeaten Chris Green 80, 68 from Will Jacks and 63 from Arun Harinath led the way as Surrey chased the runs down in the final session with three wickets remaining.
Jacks had been heavily involved earlier in the day, using his off-spin to take three lower order wickets as Surrey powered through the Gloucestershire lineup.
Mat Pillans also ended the innings with three wickets while the other scalps were claimed by Chris Green (2) and Calvin Harrison.
That left Surrey needing 295 for victory with two sessions remaining in the match. They got off to a difficult start with first innings centurion Nick Welch going for just one but Jacks and Harinath put Surrey back on course.
Both men batted typically to their styles with Jacks hitting eight fours and five sixes in his 66-ball 68 while Harinath absorbed 107 deliveries on his way to 63.
Once they had gone, 53 from Harrison and Green’s excellent unbeaten knock, including nine fours and three sixes, carried Surrey home late into the day for the first three-day win of the season.
