Scott Borthwick and Conor McKerr were the star men for Surrey as much of their three-day match with Somerset at LSE New Malden was rained off.
Both sides only managed one innings each with Surrey making 313 and Somerset notching 256/9 in the two days before the entire third day was rained off.
McKerr top scored for Surrey in their innings with an 89 not out while Borthwick also got some valuable time in the middle, scoring 81 from 171 balls.
In Somerset’s response, Borthwick was again the star man claiming figures of 3/49 with his leg spin. Morne Morkel, McKerr and Amar Virdi also got a bowl.
Surrey 2nds are next in action on the 27th August when they travel for a three-day match with Yorkshire.
