Surrey Academy cricketers were given a taste of professional life last month with a cooking class highlighting the importance of nutrition for their future careers.
Kia Oval Head Chef Josh Stanton hosted the evening, highlighting to the youngsters a range of simple meals that they can prepare themselves. After a quick demonstration, it was time for the players to don their apron and get to work on houmous and omelettes, foods high in valuable protein.
In the below video, Stanton discusses just how easy it can be to ensure you’re eating right while bowler Sean Hunt and Strength & Conditioning Coach Archie Ogden hammer home the importance of correct nutrition for sportspeople.
