Gallery: Players return to The Kia Oval

Published: 22nd June, 2020

Monday was the day our men’s squad have been dreaming of for months. They were back at The Kia Oval and training on their skills once more!

That’s right, after months of lockdown forced them to maintain their fitness at home, the players finally got to see each other, the coaches and the famous Kia Oval again.

While there are still social distancing restrictions in place that make moving around The Kia Oval as safe as possible, once the players were out on the turf it was back to business as usual.

Nets, fielding work and conditioning elements all put the players through their paces and allowed the coaches to get their first look at them since March.

It’s clear to see just how much they enjoyed their return from these photos, taken by physiotherapist Paul Steele.

Social distancing doesn’t mean you can’t get a photo with your teammate.

Looks like Mark Stoneman has missed the view of the Micky Stewart Members’ Pavilion.

Even on the first day back, form is everything when sprinting.

Bat on ball at The Kia Oval! What a sight!

Our bowlers taking every opportunity to bowl on grass again.

A setting so perfect, the hard yards don’t seem that hard anymore.
