Surrey Club captain Rory Burns has delivered a message of support to the Club’s Members and supporters from his home.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the start of the 2020 domestic season has been postponed and the players are unable to train together at The Kia Oval.
With the outbreak and its effects touching large numbers of people throughout the country and around the world, Burns has sent the following message to all Surrey fans.
He said: “I hope you’re managing to isolate well and staying fit and healthy in these uncertain times. Obviously the boys and I would love to be getting our kit on and getting out on The Kia Oval turf to put on a show for you guys but for the time being that’s not to be.
“Let’s do our best to stay positive in the mind and body and stay healthy. We’re looking forward to your support next time we do get back out at The Kia Oval. Take care of yourselves and take care of others.”
