England International and World Cup Winner Nat Sciver will feature for Surrey Women this weekend, having returned from a successful stint in the Women’s T20 Challenge in India in which her Supernova’s side won the tri-series.
Surrey Women travel to Brighton on Sunday 19th May to take on Sussex in a 50-over match, and Sciver features in a squad of 12. Joining the 26-year-old in the side is Bryony Smith, who was one of 21 players awarded full-time contracts by the ECB in February, as well as Surrey Stars Aylish Cranstone, Eva Gray and Hannah Jones.
Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2017 and triumphant Surrey Stars captain in 2018, Sciver is recognised as one of the leading all-rounders in the game and her inclusion in the squad will be encouraging for a side looking to return to winning ways.
Since beating Yorkshire in dominant fashion in the first game of the season, Surrey have since suffered two defeats against Lancashire and Kent. The match against Sussex will be their fourth of six in the competition, with matches against Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire to follow.
Surrey take on Sussex on Sunday 19th May at Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BN1 9PW) starting at 11am.
