With the 2021 domestic season drawing ever closer, it’s the last full month before Surrey will be back in competitive action and our players are still playing around the globe.

Surrey’s men begin their LV= County Championship season on the 8th April this year but there’s still lots of work to do before then to make sure we’re ready to hit the ground running.

Here we take a look at what our players will be doing.

The best way to see Surrey in action this summer is with a Club Membership, starting from £69 for adults & £20 for U16s.

England Men in India

With England 2-1 down in the four match Test series, a victory in the final match is vital. That begins on 4th March and UK viewers can watch all the action on Channel 4. Rory Burns, Ben Foakes & Ollie Pope will all be hoping to play their part for England.

Then comes five T20s in Ahmedabad, played every other day between 12th & 20th March, and three ODIs in Pune on 23rd, 26th & 28th March. All white-ball matches are available for UK viewers on Sky Sports. Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Jason Roy & Reece Topley are in the England squad for the ODIs.

England Women in New Zealand

Nat Sciver was one of England’s key players in the ODI series victory over New Zealand and now they move on to the T20 series portion of the tour. They’ll play on 3rd, 5th & 6th March and UK fans can watch on BT Sport.

IPL preparation

This year’s Indian Premier League will begin on 11th April. Sam & Tom Curran are set to play for Chennai Super Kings & Delhi Capitals respectively but will be in India early getting ready.

Sky Sports will show every single match from the tournament in the UK and we’ll keep you updated on how the brothers get on.

Training at The Kia Oval

Marquee nets, gym work, intra-squad games. That’s on the schedule for the vast majority of Surrey’s men’s squad and the Surrey Women involved in the South East Stars squads.

The men will play their first pre-season fixture on the 29th March with a two-day meeting with Sussex at Hove.
