Tom Curran will captain a 12 man Surrey squad set to take on West Indies ‘A’ in a three-day tour match at the Kia Oval, beginning at 11am on Monday 16 July.
Access to the Kia Oval and the Micky Stewart Members’ Pavilion is free for all spectators throughout the match.
Mark Stoneman and Arun Harinath are likely to open up for Surrey while Scott Borthwick, Ryan Patel and Will Jacks, will make up the middle order.
Curran is captaining the side but playing only as a batsman – as he steps up his recovery from the recent side strain that kept him out of action in England’s white ball summer. The in form Mat Pillans is joined by Gus Atkinson & Stuart Meaker in the seam attack alongside Test veteran Morne Morkel and spinner Amar Virdi.
With 18-year-old Jamie Smith unavailable due to a hamstring strain, Ben Foakes rested due to some minor injury niggles and Rory Burns and Ollie Pope on duty with the England Lions, Kent wicket keeper Adam Rouse – a former Surrey Second XI player – will be on duty behind the stumps.
