Surrey U18s have one win and one draw from their first two three day matches this season after completing a thumping victory over Sussex on Thursday.
That friendly win comes off the back of draw in which they always had the upper hand against Essex the week earlier.
Raguvaran Aravinthan was the star of both matches, scoring 150 in one innings against Essex and then 103 in the first innings against Sussex.
Surrey’s group in the three-day Championship includes Essex, Berkshire and Kent. The draw against Essex means they will go into the upcoming match against Berkshire, starting on 27th July at LSE New Malden, looking for victory.
