Surrey County Cricket Club can today confirm a range of exciting exclusive Members’ Events in 2021.

Surrey’s competitive season begins on the 8th April in Bristol but The Kia Oval hosts its first LV= County Championship fixture the following week.

Our first events take place around that fixture against Leicestershire. Pride of Lions Day is an opportunity for our U16s Members to meet some players, see them train, play some fun games and get a tour of the world-famous Kia Oval. This will take place on the 14th April, the day before that Leicestershire match begins.

Immediately after play on the first day, we will host a panel of journalists, experts & legends to discuss the Club’s incredible history and celebrate our 175th year after the planned celebrations of 2020 were cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Club’s Annual General Meeting will follow at the end of that month between County Championship fixtures against Middlesex & Hampshire.

A Breakfast Members’ Forum will take place before the third day of play against Middlesex at The Kia Oval with those in attendance able to ask the likes of Richard Gould & Alec Stewart about issues concerning Surrey, The Kia Oval & the game in the wider county. A similar opportunity will follow during the lunch break of the second day against Somerset in July.

Two new events are available following Royal London Cup fixtures at the end of July & start of August. On Friday 30th July, after Surrey’s match with Northamptonshire, we will host a Members’ Quiz.

The following week, after Surrey face Somerset, some of the best long form videos & interviews on Surrey & The Kia Oval will be shown on a large screen with all the usual cinema treats on offer. The films to be shown on the evening are still to be confirmed.

The final Members Forum during the domestic season will happen on the 14th September, following the third day of play in our penultimate LV= County Championship fixture.

Rounding off the summer will be our End of Season Awards events. While the date of the official End of Season Awards will be confirmed once it is decided whether Surrey will play in the Bob Willis Trophy final or not, the 28th October will see a half-term Pride of Lions party.

Many of the events are expected to take place in the Members’ areas of the new stand at the Pavilion End of the The Kia Oval with a wide range food and alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks available. The Club will communicate with all Members nearer to the day of each event as to how to book your place.

Please be assured we are monitoring the current situation regarding COVID-19 and all events will only take place if government guidelines allow and will adhere strictly to any restrictions in place at the time.

As well as invites to these special events, Surrey Members get access to all home matches at The Kia Oval and Guildford CC as well as voting rights for the Club’s General Committee. Click here to find the right Membership category for you.
