Tom Curran’s 4/22 against Adelaide Strikers overnight earned him his third Player of the Match award in just eight Big Bash appearances this season.
Curran has taken 13 wickets and scored 43 runs so far for his Sydney Sixers side, who sit top of the table after defeating the Strikers.
Curran’s career personal best in the Big Bash of 4/22, including the wickets of opener Jake Weatherald and star man Rashid Khan, saw his Sixers reduce Strikers to just 135 all out. He then add 21 runs with the bat to help his team over the line and take home the Player of the Match award.
This comes after he was the star of the show in the Sydney Derby on 28th December as he took 2/23 and scored 35 to win one of the biggest matches in the competition.He had also been Player of the Match on Boxing Day, scoring 43 runs from just 21 balls as Sixers beat Perth Scorchers.
He is currently the Sixers top wicket taker and with sits second on their list of best batting averages with 30.
