Surrey spinner Amar Virdi is keen to make his mark on Test cricket as soon as he gets the call to pull on an England shirt.
Speaking from inside the training group bubble at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton ahead of the upcoming RaiseTheBat Test series with West Indies, Virdi insisted he’s working as hard as possible to earn the right to play internationally.
The off-spinner is one of five Surrey men in the training group, and the only one not to have made his debut at this level yet, but is enjoying the opportunity to work with the international setup of players and coaches.
