The Kia Oval will be hosting the NatWest T20 Blast clash between the Middlesex Panthers and Somerset on Wednesday June 18th.
It is the second time Middlesex have played a home T20 match at The Oval, after their 2008 quarter-final victory over Lancashire was staged at the ground six years ago.
The game will be the eighth T20 Blast game at the ground this year, coming on top of Surrey’s seven matches – five of them big Friday night clashes, launching London’s weekend in style.
Speaking earlier in the season, Middlesex Chief Executive Vinny Codrington said: “We’re returning to the ground where we successfully overcame Lancashire in the 2008 quarter final on our way to Trophy winning success on finals day. Let’s hope that 2008 provides an omen for a successful Panthers NatWest T20 Blast campaign in 2014.
“Surrey Cricket have been most accommodating in making this fixture happen, so our thanks go to them for their support in allowing us to utilise the Kia Oval for this match.”
