Surrey stalwart jade dernbach, who made his county debut in 2003, is the club’s t20 captain.
A graduate of the Surrey Academy, Dernbach developed a reputation for his remarkable array of slower balls but is also an excellent first-class performer, delivering a disciplined line and length.
In T20 cricket, he bowls the vast majority of his overs inside the powerplays, challenging batsmen to attack his variations and often profiting from their ill advised aggression.
A Surrey man throughout his entire career, Dernbach’s form earlier in his career saw him feature regularly for England’s white ball sides between 2011 and 2014. Dernbach captained Surrey in T20 cricket in 2018 and 2019 and played a pivotal role holding down one end in the 2018 County Championship title.
2021 will be Dernbach’s last season at The Kia Oval, having announced he will leave the Club in the winter.Related Articles
