Squad named for Derby game

Cricket - LV County Championship - Division One - Surrey v Nottinghamshire - The Kia Oval

Published: 28th August, 2013

Surrey have named a thirteen man squad for the LV=County Championship match against Derbyshire at the Kia Oval starting on Thursday.

Fast bowler George Edwards is named in a Championship squad for the first time this season and the Pemberton Greenish Academy batsman Dominic Sibley is also included.

Jade Dernbach is unavailable due to his selection in the England squad for the two NatWest International  T20 games against Australia. Gary Wilson’s inclusion in the Ireland squad for the ODI against England does not allow him to be available for the entirety of the game against Derbyshire and because of this he is not named in the thirteen man squad.

Surrey go into the game against Derbyshire sitting ninth in the First Division table having lost their last game against Durham.

Derbyshire arrive at the Kia Oval having won their last game against Middlesex and occupy seventh place in the table.
