One of the most destructive batsmen in world cricket; the powerful Australian opener has lit up the Kia Oval in the last three Vitality Blast seasons with some huge hitting.
He has again signed for Surrey for the 2019 season where he will play T20 cricket for the Club, having been the side’s top run scorer in both the 2018 and 2017 competitions.
Making his debut at Guildford Cricket Club in 2016, Finch started his Surrey career by hitting a huge six off the first ball he faced. He went on to make a century off just 90 balls. A seemingly unbeatable innings for Surrey came in front of a capacity Kia Oval crowd for a Friday evening T20 where he shared an opening stand of 180 with Jason Roy (120*) as he made 79 and Surrey won by 37 runs.
He did surpass that in 2018 with 131 on the road at Sussex before 117 not out from 52 balls in front of the Sky cameras to win the London Derby against Middlesex.
