Rory Burns Surrey team will start their assault on the County Championship over the Easter weekend at Warwickshire, with Bryony Smith’s side also starting their account at Edgbaston on Saturday 11 April.
Surrey women will play six of their eight home matches at the Kia Oval in 2026.
ROTHESAY COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP
Surrey begin their Rothesay County Championship campaign with a trip to Edgbaston to face Warwickshire over the Easter weekend.
The Kia Oval’s 2026 summer kicks off with the visit of newly promoted Leicestershire from Friday 10 April, before welcoming Essex from Friday 24 April. Sussex come to south London next over the first weekend of May to complete three home games on the bounce for the Three Feathers.
Surrey then head up the M1 to face defending champions Nottinghamshire from Friday 8 May, which will be followed by our first red ball match at Headingley since the 2017 season, when Burns’ team face Yorkshire from Friday 15 May.
Hampshire visit the Kia Oval from Sunday 7 June before the Three Feathers are on the road to south Wales to take on Glamorgan from Friday 19 June – our first Championship clash against the Welsh outfit since the 2021 season.
The Championship returns on Thursday 20 August, with the final six matches of the season played out over a mouth-watering six weeks of red ball cricket.
Surrey’s run-in will start with the Festival of Red Ball Cricket for the visit of Nottinghamshire from Thursday 20 August.
The Three Feathers will then make the short trip to Chelmsford over the August Bank Holiday weekend before Yorkshire visit the Kia Oval from Wednesday 2 September.
Burns’ side will travel to the south coast to face Sussex from Tuesday 8 September before Glamorgan make the journey to south London for our last home match of the season from Tuesday 15 September.
The red ball season culminates with a trip to the westcountry to go up against Somerset from Thursday 24 September.
METRO BANK WOMEN’S ONE DAY CUP
Bryony Smith’s side also start their 2026 Metro Bank One Day Cup campaign with a visit to Edgbaston on Saturday 11 April before returning to the Kia Oval to take on Tier One’s newest team – Yorkshire, on Wednesday 15 April.
The Yorkshire match will be the first of six women’s One Day Cup matches played at the Kia Oval. Surrey will also face Durham (Sat 18 April), Essex (Weds 13 May) and Lancashire (Sat 16 May) in south London before the Vitality Blast kicks off.
In their remaining home games, Smith’s side will play The Blaze at Beckenham on Saturday 13 June and Hampshire at Guildford on Wednesday 19 August before returning to the Kia Oval for their final two matches of the group stage against Warwickshire (Weds 9 Sept) and Somerset (Sat 12 Sept).
The addition of Yorkshire to Tier One cricket means that Surrey will play 16 group matches in the One Day Cup, playing everyone home and away.
After beginning with a trip away to Warwickshire, Surrey’s travels will also take the Three Feathers to Somerset (Sat 25 April), Hampshire (Weds 29 April) and The Blaze (Mon 4 May) before the competition breaks for the Vitality Blast.
In the middle of the T20 campaign, Smith’s side will travel to Durham for a 50-over fixture on Tuesday 23 June, before trips to Yorkshire at Scarborough (Weds 26 Aug), Lancashire (Thurs 3 Sept) and Essex (Sun 6 Sept) following the completion of the Vitality Blast and the Hundred. The groups stages end for Surrey with two consecutive matches at the Kia Oval.
If Smith’s Surrey qualify for the next stage, the semi-final is scheduled on Wednesday 16 September, with the final being on Saturday 19 September in Southampton.
METRO BANK MEN’S ONE DAY CUP
The men’s team have been placed in Group A of the Metro Bank Men’s One Day Cup, playing two home matches at Guildford and two at the Kia Oval.
Surrey’s campaign starts on the road at Sedburgh in Cumbria against Lancashire on Tuesday 21 July, before heading to the heart of the county to face Leicestershire Foxes (Fri 24 July) at Guildford, before Northamptonshire Steelbacks (Sun 26 July) at Guildford.
The Three Feathers head out on the road again to play Warwickshire at Edgbaston (Weds 29 July) and Gloucestershire (Fri 31 July) at Bristol, before returning to the Kia Oval to face our oldest rivals Kent Spitfires on Wednesday 5 August.
The final away match of the group stages will take place at Somerset on Friday 7 August before Surrey go head-to-head against Nottinghamshire Outlaws at the Kia Oval on Tuesday 11 August to round off the group stages.
If Surrey were to qualify, the play-off would be played on Friday 14 August before a semi-final scheduled for Sunday 16 August. The Metro Bank Men’s One Day Cup final is set to take place at Trent Bridge on Sunday 20 September.
