PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR OUR MATCH DAY GUIDE AND ALL THE INFORMATION YOU MAY NEED AHEAD OF VISITING THE KIA OVAL.
OUR NEXT MATCH DAY
It’s time for our Pride-themed double header at the Kia Oval as Bryony Smith’s side take on Lancashire Thunder before Sam Curran’s Surrey face Sussex Sharks on Wednesday, 18 June.
Gates open at 1 pm, with the women’s match starting at 2 pm and the men’s match starting at 6:30 pm.
Match-specific information
HOW CAN I KEEP UP WITH THE MATCH?
The match will be broadcast live on Surrey’s YouTube channel, with a link posted on the Surrey Match Centre and social media channels.
Surrey Cricket’s social media channels will provide live updates, with clips and highlights posted throughout the day. A written report and highlights will be available at the end of the match. The ‘Oval & Out’ podcast will be posted on Surrey’s YouTube channel after the conclusion of the match.
BAG SEARCH
There will be heightened security in place for this match-day. Spectators are advised to be prepared for bag searches taking place outside the gates prior to their entry into the ground. As this is a ‘Category A’ fixture, spectators are NOT permitted to bring alcohol into the ground from outside.
PITCH LOCATION
The match will be played on Pitch 17, which is slightly towards the gasholder side of the ground.
Road Closure for Major Match-days
For around 1.5 hours before the start and after the end of a men’s Vitality Blast match, the road between Oval Tube Station and the junction between Harleyford Road and Durham Street (by The Beehive pub) will be closed to all traffic, including the cycle super highway. Vauxhall Street and Clayton Street will also become ‘Access Only’ during this period, accommodating all residents, visitors and deliveries, who will still be able to access all estate courtyards on the Kennington Park Estate.
The bus stops outside Oval Station and Archbishop Tenison’s School will be suspended, and the buses that serve those routes placed on temporary diversions. Vauxhall Bus Station and Kennington Park Post Office will be the nearest available bus stops during the road closure. Oval Tube station will continue to operate normally at all times. This decision has been taken in collaboration with the Metropolitan Police and Lambeth Council, after much consideration, to ensure public safety on major match days.
Getting to the Kia Oval
The Kia Oval is easily accessible via several modes of transport and is within easy walking distance from a number of Tube stations. For more information, please view our match-day guide.
For County Championship and One Day Cup matches, there is limited bike parking available for spectators inside the venue by both Hobbs Gate and Alec Stewart Gate, in the form of bike racks. This is allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Food and Drink
Come hungry to the Brixton Food Village! Located at the Vauxhall End of the ground and armed with plenty of benches and parasols, Cluck Fried Chicken, Nanny Bill’s and Lil Watan will be serving appetising food, and you can get your drinks from Kerb Bar.
If you’re at the other end of the ground and craving chicken, try out the newly opened Crispy Wicket Fried Chicken shop. A range of hot and cold food will also be available from various concessions all over the ground, including The Duck Shed, Deep Blue Fish and Chips, Oh My Dog Hot Dogs, Pizza and Co and many more. Many concessions also serve vegan and halal options, including Brilliant Punjabi and Kennington Tandoori Curry.
A wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase around the ground, from our Fever-Tree bars, specialist cocktail bars, and wine bars. Alcohol-free, vegan and gluten-free drinks are also available from most concourse bars. Water fountains are also located around the ground for spectator to fill their cups or bottles.
Please note that the Kia Oval is a cashless venue and only card payment will be taken.
As this is a Vitality Blast T20, supporters are NOT permitted to bring their own alcohol, metal cutlery or glass into the ground. Fans are still welcome to bring their own food into the ground.
