Membership Terms
& Conditions

These Membership Terms and Conditions work in collaboration with the Ticketing Terms and Conditions and also the Rules of Surrey County Cricket Club.

 

Membership Cards:

• Membership Cards remain the property of Surrey County Cricket Club. Surrey County Cricket Club reserves the right to cancel the Membership(s) at any time, as per the Club Rules.
• All Members are issued a digital Membership Card via email ahead of the start of the season. Physical Membership Cards must be requested via the relevant method. Delivery of Membership Cards requested after the communicated cut-off point can take up to 8 weeks.
• Replacement Membership Cards can be issued at a charge of £10. The Club issues Membership Cards only for lost, stolen or damaged cards. Upon a Membership Card being reported as lost, stolen or damaged, the Club cancels the current Membership Card and issues a new barcode. Membership Cards may suffer normal wear and tear across the season; please note that the Club does not offer replacement Membership Cards in this instance. Members who wish to attend fixtures without a valid Membership Card may need to pay for a day pass. The Club reserves the right to increase this cost should the Member continue to request replacements.

Eligibility for Membership:

• Memberships purchased are non-transferable and non-refundable, with the only exception being Surrey Debenture Members, who can transfer their Memberships to other individuals should they wish. For more information on this, please email membership@surreycricket.com.
• Where more than one Membership is purchased, each Membership must be in the name of the recipient. Members are not permitted to hold multiple Memberships under the same name.
• Pride of Lions (those under 16 / junior Members): Pride of Lions Membership is available for anyone under the age of 16. Members who turn 16 before 1 April in the year the Membership is valid need to purchase another type of Membership. If a Membership is paid by Direct Debit, the Member is automatically upgraded to the Surrey 16-21 Membership during the Membership renewal period.
• Surrey 16-21: Surrey 16-21 Membership is available for anyone aged between 16 and 21. Members who turn 22 before 1 April in the year the Membership is valid need to purchase another type of Membership. If a Membership is paid by Direct Debit, the Member is automatically upgraded to the Surrey 22-25 Membership.
• Surrey 22-25: Surrey 22-25 Membership is available for anyone aged between 22 and 25. Members who turn 26 before 1 April in the year the Membership is valid need to purchase another type of Membership. If a Membership is paid by Direct Debit, the Member is automatically upgraded to the County Membership.
• There are no eligibility requirements for the following Membership categories:
  • Surrey and England Membership
  • County Membership
  • Championship Membership

 Access to Cricket at The Kia Oval:

• To access cricket at The Kia Oval, Members need to present a valid Membership Card to a steward on entry. If a Member does not have a Membership Card, the Club is unable to guarantee access to the Ground. Members are subject to the venue’s Ground Regulations and, if in breach of these, entry may be refused.
• If a Membership Card fails to read or is invalid, the Member is not granted access to the Ground and is directed to the ticket office, where the team can assist. Members who wish to attend fixtures without a valid Membership Card may need to pay for a day pass.

Access to the Members’ Areas:

• On international matchdays, the Micky Stewart Members’ Pavilion is extremely busy. Occasionally, the Club needs to limit capacity for security and safety reasons. Members without a matchday ticket, where appropriate, within the Pavilion may be denied access.
• On occasions when a domestic game, including The Hundred, is very popular, Members’ Areas can become busy. As a result, access to the Ground or Members’ Areas may need to be restricted, and Members may need to queue at the ticket office to obtain a free-of-charge ticket in another location of the Ground.

Cancelled Play or Reduced Play:

• In the event of a match being cancelled or not completed, no monetary refund is due.

Pride of Lions Members:

• Pride of Lions Members under the age of 14 are required to have an adult (over the age of 18) to accompany them when attending events at The Kia Oval. It is recommended that this adult also has a Membership with Surrey to enable easy access to the ground and access within the ground. If the Adult is not a Member, a ticket must be purchased.
• The minimum age for a young person to attend an event at The Kia Oval unaccompanied is 14 years old. This minimum age is in line with many other sports stadia and major venues. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to check before buying tickets for the event that they can comply with these age restrictions.
• While there is a lower age limit in place, it is for parents/carers to judge if their child needs to be accompanied, even if the child is older than the imposed age limit. Parents/carers are responsible for deciding if it is safe and appropriate to allow their unaccompanied child to attend the Club event, based on their understanding of their child’s general developmental maturity and awareness of the potential risks.

Adult Memberships:

• Depending on the type of Membership purchased, Members have different levels of access to cricket being played at The Kia Oval. Members should check their Membership Card, Membership Guide or the Club website, for further details.
• Surrey County Cricket Club has the right to change access levels prior to the start of each season.
• Members also have access to Guest Vouchers. The number of Guest Vouchers available depends on the category of Membership held. Members should refer to their Membership Guide or the Club website, www.kiaoval.com/membership, for further information.
• Guest Vouchers are subject to the Ticketing Terms and Conditions. If a Member opts for paper Guest Vouchers and loses or misplaces them, the Club is unable to provide extras.

Member Benefits:

• Members receive several additional benefits including access to events, international tickets and promotions or offers by Club partners. All benefits are subject to availability and may be subject to additional terms and conditions. The Club does not guarantee the availability of any particular benefit, including tickets for international fixtures.

Surrey and England International Seats:

• On purchasing a Surrey and England Membership, the Member allocates a preferred seat in the ground, subject to availability. Tickets in the allocated seat are reserved for the Member to purchase in the Surrey and England priority window for all ECB International matches. Following this window, the reservation is cancelled. After this time, the Club cannot guarantee that the Surrey and England seat is available to purchase. The Club cannot guarantee that it is able to reserve the allocated seat for ICC fixtures.
• The Member’s guest ticket window is not affected, and the Member is still able to purchase guest tickets during the relevant windows, subject to availability.

Surrey and England Seats in the Members’ Pavilion:

• Surrey and England seats in the Micky Stewart Members’ Pavilion are extremely sought after. Currently, all seats are sold out, and the Club is operating a waiting list. Positions on the waiting list are only for Surrey and England Members. The Club allocates seats in chronological order from the time of joining the waiting list. Members who do not have an active Surrey and England Membership as of 1 April are removed from the Pavilion waiting list. If a Member is eligible to be moved into the Pavilion, a member of the Supporter Services team contacts the Member in the Membership renewal period to discuss options.
• Should a Member decline to move into the Pavilion, the Member is removed from the waiting list. If a Member wishes to move down the list to join friends or family, the Club can arrange this; however, the Member is moved to the position below the person with whom the Member wishes to sit. There is no guarantee that the Club can arrange multiple seats together.
• The Club reserves the right to amend the way that seats are allocated in the Pavilion. The Club also reserves the right to close the waiting list at any point. Being on the Pavilion waiting list is not a guarantee of a seat.

Surrey and England Reserved Seating:        

• Surrey and England seats apply only for ECB internationals. For Surrey and The Hundred fixtures, Members do not have a reserved seat and need to sit in Members’ unreserved areas.
