Code of Conduct

Surrey County Cricket Club is a family Club open to all, and we make every effort to ensure everyone feels welcome, and safe and enjoys their visit to the Kia Oval.

Surrey County Cricket Club expects all of our supporters to conduct themselves in a way that represents the values of the Club. Conduct that jeopardises the safety and enjoyment of others, including staff, is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Threatening, abusive or violent behaviour, and foul or abusive language is strictly forbidden and will result in arrest and/or ejection from the Ground. Theft will also not be tolerated.  SCCC may impose a ban from the Ground as a result.

Racial, homophobic or discriminatory abuse, chanting or harassment is strictly forbidden and will result in arrest and/or ejection from the Ground. SCCC may impose a ban from the Ground as a result on a temporary or indefinite ban from the Club.

In respect of any individual who is in breach of the Code of Conduct Surrey County Cricket Club will take appropriate action. Such action is likely to include refusal of entry to, or ejection from the ground followed by a temporary or indefinite ban and report to the police, potentially resulting in criminal proceedings. Refused entry to (or ejection from) the Ground may lead in further action by the Club including, but not limited to, the withdrawal of any season ticket (without reimbursement), Club Membership and other benefits.

Notwithstanding possession of any ticket the Club, any police officer or authorised steward may refuse entry to (or eject from) the Ground any person: 1.1 that fails (or in the Club’s reasonable opinion is likely to fail) to comply with these Ground Regulations and/or the Discrimination Commitment and/or the Supporter Code of Conduct and/or any reasonable instruction issued by a police officer or authorised steward or officer of the Club; and/or 1.2 whose presence within the Ground is, or could (in the Club’s reasonable opinion), constitute a source of danger, nuisance or annoyance to any other person.
