Seb Stuart-Reckling will leave Surrey at the conclusion of the 2026 season

The left arm seamer has been at the Club on a rookie contract for two seasons, playing one match for the First XI.

Seb’s cricketing journey began at Stoke D’Abernon CC before moving to Banstead, where he continues to play. He appeared for the Pathway U14s before returning to play a consistent role as an opening bowler for the U18s side, winning the National County U18 T20 cup and the regional plate in 2023. He was a key part of the team that won the Second XI Championship in 2025.

A team player through and through, Seb has been a popular figure among the playing staff and around the Kia Oval.

Alec Stewart said: “Everyone at Surrey wishes Seb well for the future and we thank him for his time at the Club.”

On leaving, Seb Stuart -Reckling said: “Being a Surrey cricketer has meant a great deal to me, and it has been an honour. I have absolutely loved my time in the dressing room and have learnt a lot from the environment.

“I have brilliant memories of playing for the Club’s age group sides and progressing to the Second XI before making my first team debut, which is a day I’ll always remember. Winning the National U18 T20 County Cup alongside friends that I grew up with and then went on to represent the First XI alongside will always be special.”

“I would like to thank all the coaches and staff for their support over the last couple of years and I wish the group the best of luck in the future.”
