The 50-over game will start at 11:00 am on Tuesday, 20 August. A live stream will be available on Surrey’s YouTube channel. The Club’s social media channels will provide regular updates and a match report will be published at the end of the game.

Having defeated Kent in an all-time classic before falling to a defeat in the London derby, Surrey have 18 points in the bag and will be looking to leapfrog Sussex and Kent in the table by securing a win at Reigate.

SQUAD

Skippered by Amy Gordon, Surrey have named a 12-player squad for the game against Sussex.

SUSSEX

Sussex defeated Kent by 63 runs at home this weekend to open their win account, having faced a 96-run loss in their campaign-opener away at Essex last Wednesday. They currently have 22 points on the board and are third in the standings below Middlesex and Essex, both of whom have played three games.

Lucy Western with the bat and Chiara Green with the ball have been in red-hot form for Sussex. Just after two outings, opener Western is leading the competition run charts with 185 runs, including an unbeaten 130 versus Kent. Green is the highest wicket-taker so far with nine scalps to her name, including a best of 5/40 in the victory at home.

LAST TIME OUT

One month ago, in their previous London Championship outing, Surrey went down fighting at Mill Hill School against Middlesex in a London Derby where the ball did the talking and runs were hard to come by.

After facing two London Derby defeats this season, Sonali Patel (5/26) and Anisha Dissanayake (4/26) prevented Surrey’s hattrick and took Middlesex to a hard-fought, three-wicket victory.

Defending a target of 82 runs, the Three Feathers kept their spirits high when they came out to bowl, with Bethan Miles (2/18) and Charlotte Lambert (1/7) keeping Surrey in the game, but Riva Pindoria’s composed knock of 33 runs turned out to be match-winning.
