25 or under and want to write about the game of cricket?
Hone your skills and tell your stories about our great game through the 2022 Surrey County Cricket Club Young Writers’ Competition!
Every quarter of 2022, we’re offering young cricket fans in Surrey and beyond the opportunity to have their work published on the Club website, learn more about working in cricket media, interview a player and more prizes still to be decided.
There will be three age categories and two separate categories for forms of writing, so there’s chance for everyone to show off their love of the game and the written word. This competition is open to all, there is no requirement to be a Surrey Member in order to enter.
The first competition will run until 11:59pm on Thursday 31st March 2022, with the winners to be announced in April. The winners will be contacted to inform them of their success and see their work published on kiaoval.com with a full credit.
They will also be through to the final competition at the end of the calendar year, when the best piece of work in each category will earn its writer further prizes.
Writing can fit into one of two categories, explained below.
