Surrey County Cricket Club are seeking applications from Members to be elected onto the Club’s General Committee.

As a Members’ Club, Surrey is owned and run by its Members. This is manifested by the General Committee, a body of sixteen Members chaired by Club Chairman Richard Thompson.

The General Committee oversees all areas of club business including on the field issues and the continuing development of The Kia Oval as a major international stadium. If successfully elected, Members serve an (unpaid) four-year term, attending as many of the six meetings a year as they are able to.

Members of the General Committee also receive Committee Room privileges during matches held at The Kia Oval, allowing them to watch games from the Committee Room at the Pavilion End and invite guests to join them.

The deadline to apply to join the General Committee is Sunday 31st January 2021. If there are more than four candidates standing for election then votes are cast by all Members, with the result announced at the Surrey County Cricket Club Annual General Meeting, which will be held at the Kia Oval on Thursday 29th April 2021.

The four new candidates will replace previous members Patricia Garrard, Colin Hunte, Emma Lewendon and Pat Pocock who are all retiring from the General Committee this year. The club thanks them for their service.
