The pre-season fixtures for Surrey’s two teams have been confirmed.

Rory Burns’ side will step up their preparations for the 2025 season with two away trips. They will start with a two-day match against Sussex at Hove on Wednesday 26 – Thursday 27 March. The game will be live streamed on Sussex Cricket’s YouTube channel.

Surrey will then head to Merchant Taylor School to face Middlesex in a two-day friendly on Saturday 29 – Sunday 30 March before beginning the defence of their Rothesay County Championship crown away at Essex from Friday 4 April.

Abu Dhabi Counties Super Cup

Surrey’s new professional women’s side will head to Abu Dhabi at the end of March for a series of T20s and a 50-over fixture. Surrey’s first unofficial match will be a T20 against The Blaze on Friday 28 March, before facing Essex a day later. The Three Feathers will then face another team from the competition on Sunday 30 March (Yorkshire, UAE or Tasmania).

Surrey will play Tier Two side Yorkshire on Tuesday 1 April before finishing the trip with a 50-over match against The Blaze on Thursday 3 April.

Once back in the UK, Surrey will travel to the Utilita Bowl for a 50-over match against Hampshire on Thursday 10 April, before travelling to Garon Park, Southend for a 50-over friendly against Essex on Tuesday 15 April.

Surrey’s first official match is a Metro Bank One Day Cup match against Somerset at Beckenham on Wednesday 23 April.
