Surrey’s Second XI will once against compete in the Second XI Championship and T20 competition, as well as a list of friendly matches
The Three Feathers kick the 2025 Second XI season off with a series of friendly matches before the competitive season begins with a Second XI Championship trip to Northamptonshire (12-16 May).
Attention quickly switches to the T20 format as the squad looks to fine tune their white ball skills ahead of the start of the Vitality Blast. Surrey will travel travel to Essex (20 May), Hampshire (22 May), Oxfordshire (friendly, 26 May), Middlesex (2 June), Kent (6 June) and Sussex (10 June). We will host Sussex (4 June), Middlesex (12 June), Kent (30 June), Essex (1 July) and Hampshire (4 July) at LSE, New Malden.
The Second XI T20 Finals Day takes place on Wednesday 16 July, with a venue to be confirmed. In 2024, Surrey fell to a 27-run DLS defeat to Yorkshire in the semi-finals.
In the middle of the T20 block, the South Asian Cricket Academy will visit LSE for a two-day red ball friendly from the 18-19 June, before a Second XI Championship clash with Derbyshire at the same venue from Tuesday 24 June.
Somerset will visit LSE from 22-25 July in the Second XI Championship, before two 50 over friendlies ahead of the Metro Bank One Day Cup. The South Asian Cricket Academy (SACA) are the opponents at LSE on 28 July, followed by an away trip to Northamptonshire on 30 July.
The season finishes with the visit of Yorkshire to Woodbridge Road, Guildford from 2-5 September before a trip to Hampshire (9-12) for the final match of the season.
