Surrey have signed England International Freya Kemp ahead of the 2027 season.
Surrey have secured the signing of England International Freya Kemp, who will join ahead of the 2027 season on a multi-year deal.
The all-rounder has represented England 49 times, with 585-runs across 36 innings and has taken 36 wickets across both formats with an average of 22.5 in WODIs and just over 20 in WT20s with her left-arm seam-bowling.
Born in London, Kemp has played the past two seasons of her domestic cricket at Hampshire, having represented the Southern Vipers in the regional cricket era. With a total of 1561 runs in List A cricket to her name, she averaged 59.60 in the 2025 Metro Bank Women’s One Day Cup.
The 21-year-old has had a standout summer for England with both the bat and ball. Striking at 157.89 at an average of 45 in the Women’s T20 World Cup, she also produced England’s best bowling figures of 4/22 against Sri Lanka in the opening match of the tournament.
Kemp brings with her experience from the global franchise game having represented Welsh Fire and the Southern Brave in The Hundred, and Perth Scorchers in the WBBL.
