Surrey’s contingent of England Test players currently in India speak to Mark Church on life in Asia & all things international cricket in the winter of 2021.
Rory Burns, Ben Foakes, Ollie Pope and Amar Virdi are all undergoing a quarantine period in a Chennai hotel ahead of a four-match Test series starting next week.
Burns & Foakes are both part of the initial squad of 16 for the first Tests in Chennai while Virdi is a reserve. Pope will be added to the squad once passed fit by the medical staff on tour.
Usually part of the England Test group, Sam Curran has been rested for the first two Test matches in India.
