After returning to action at the Kia Oval last week, the ACE Programme scholars will make their match debuts for Surrey tomorrow.

ACE (African Caribbean Engagement) Programme scholars were selected earlier in the year, with the talent uncovered at the Open Days, held shortly before the start of lockdown, so impressive that the scheme was extended from 16 to 24 players.

Whilst the Coronavirus pandemic has severely impacted the start of the sessions, the young players were recently able to work with Academy coaches Jeremy Greaves, Tom Benge and Matt Spriegel at the Kia Oval and will now get into competitive action for the first time today (Monday August 24th), playing against a Surrey Elite Player Group XI at the LSE Ground in New Malden.

This will be followed by a forty over match at the Kia Oval on Tuesday September 1st, with the ACE Programme taking on similar opposition.
