Surrey’s Alex French and Ralphie Albert have been included in England Men’s U19s squad for the five-match Youth One-Day International with India, starting on Friday 27 June

Seam bowler French and off-spinning all-rounder Albert, who are both part of the Surrey Academy, have been a regular feature in England’s U19s set up over the past twelve months.

Chris Taylor, Head of the men’s Pathway, said: “We’re delighted that Alex and Ralphie have been selected for the England U19s. It’s a great opportunity for the pair to test themselves against a highly skilled opposition. We wish them the very best.”

Somerset’s Thomas Rew will captain England Men U19s for the five-match Youth One-Day International series against India Men U19s. Worcestershire’s Isaac Mohhamed is the one uncapped player included in the 15-player squad.

England Men U19 Head Coach, Mike Yardy, said: “We’ve selected an exciting squad for the ODI series. We have players who have a variety of white-ball skills and predominantly available for the ICC Under-19 World Cup in the winter.

“India Under-19s will provide a great challenge this summer and it’s a great opportunity for the boys to perform as a team and individually.”

The series begins at the 1st Central County Ground in Hove on Friday 27 June before matches in Northampton and Worcester.
