Surrey debutant Gus Atkinson was delighted to finally make his maiden first-class appearance at Essex on Saturday.
The seamer was named in a Surrey red ball side for the first time at Essex this weekend having come through the academy ranks at the Club alongside a number of the current first team.
Atkinson even topped his day off with his first wicket when opener Nick Browne chipped one up to stand-in skipper Mark Stoneman at mid-off.
