Surrey’s stand-in Vitality Blast captain Gareth Batty is chomping at the bit to be back in the middle.
Batty has yet to play in 2020 but now the 42-year-old will be a key figure for Surrey over the coming weeks of the truncated T20 competition.
Surrey begin on Friday when they travel to Sussex before Essex are the first Kia Oval visitors on Sunday.
