Surrey’s planned showcase fixture with National County Buckinghamshire will not now be played in 2021.
Originally scheduled for Thursday 20th July in Buckinghamshire, difficulties ensuring the Covid compliance of non-first class grounds for all in attendance meant that this match could not be hosted by the national county.
A potential solution was for Surrey to host the fixture but with The Kia Oval unavailable due to The Hundred and Guildford Cricket Club already in use that day, this will not be possible this summer.
It is hoped that the match will be able to go ahead during the 2022 domestic season.
