Surrey’s Matt Fisher, Jamie Smith and Gus Atkinson have been named in England’s squad for the first Test match against New Zealand at Lord’s, starting Thursday 4 June

Matthew Fisher keeps his place in the Test squad after being called up to join the squad during the winters Ashes trip. Fisher has led the Surrey attack this summer, taking 11 wickets to add to the 31 wickets he took in his debut season.

Jamie Smith has started the summer brilliantly for summer, hitting 446 runs at 63.71, including scintillating centuries against Warwickshire (132) and Leicestershire (166).

Gus Atkinson will once again hope to spearhead the England attack. Gus has played two matches for Surrey this summer, taking three wickets and bowling with good pace.

England will kick off the Test match summer with a three-match series with New Zealand, starting at Lord’s on Thursday 4 June.

The Kia Oval will host the second Test match from Wednesday 17 June, with a limited amount of tickets remaining. Trent Bridge is the venue for the third and final Test from Thursday 25 June.
