Surrey all-rounders Jordan Clark, Sophia Dunkley, Jamie Overton & Bryony Smith will play in The Hundred in 2021.

Clark joins The Oval Invincibles team based at The Kia Oval and he will come up against Surrey teammate Overton, who will play at Clark’s old home turf when he turns out for Manchester Originals.

Dunkley, currently in New Zealand with England Women, will play for Southern Brave & Smith for Welsh Fire.

Jonathan Batty, former Surrey captain and wicket keeper batsman, a Surrey Women’s coach & last year’s South East Stars Interim Head Coach, has also been named as the Head Coach of the Oval Invincible Women’s side today.

12 men from Surrey’s squad are involved, with each team still to fill one more place after the completion of the Vitality Blast. Clark & Overton join fellow Surrey men Rory Burns, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Laurie Evans, Will Jacks, Jason Roy, Reece Topley (Oval Invincibles), Jade Dernbach (London Spirit), Liam Plunkett & Ollie Pope (Welsh Fire) in the tournament.

The women’s squads are still taking shape but seven Surrey Women players are already signed up. Dunkley & Smith are added to fellow Surrey Women players Alice Capsey (Oval Invincibles), Aylish Cranstone (London Spirit), Amy Gordon (Welsh Fire), Nat Sciver (Trent Rockets), & Rhianna Southby (Oval Invincibles) who are already named in squads in the competition.

As far as Surrey players in other franchise leagues in 2021 go, Sam Curran (Chennai Super Kings) & Tom Curran (Delhi Capitals) will play in the Indian Premier League. Any further updates on Surrey players appearing for other sides will appear on kiaoval.com as they are confirmed.
