To celebrate the 2026 London Marathon, Surrey are offering two free tickets for Day 3 or 4 (Sun 26 or Mon 27 April) of their Rothesay County Championship clash against Essex to everyone who goes past the finishing line on Sunday.

All that runners need to do to secure their free tickets is post a selfie with their finisher’s medal on their X, Instagram, or BlueSky account alongside tagging Surrey Cricket’s handle. Alternatively, finishers can send their selfies as a direct message to Surrey Cricket’s Instagram, Facebook, or X channel. Once this is done, a member of the Surrey staff will share a ticket code to join us at the ground.

The Kia Oval has become the beating heart of red-ball cricket in the country and welcomed over 10,000 supporters for Surrey’s opening home game earlier this month. This weekend’s contest against Essex is promising to be another chapter in the rivalry between the two London teams, who have been heavily involved in the title race in recent years. Rory Burns’ team will be aiming to collect their first win of the summer, while Essex would hope to bounce back following two consecutive losses.

During the first match of the season at the Kia Oval, many of the supporters were also able to Work From Oval, making the best use of the ground’s updated, superfast WiFi7 whilst taking in panoramic views of world-class cricket action and enjoying delicious food and drinks at the ground.

Join us in the ground after your marathon or from 11 am on Monday!
