All South East Stars home fixtures at The Kia Oval, The Spitfire Ground, Canterbury and the Kent County Ground, Beckenham in 2021 will be free for all spectators.

Following a complete ban on spectator attendance during the team’s truncated first season in 2020, Surrey, Kent and South East Stars would like to take this opportunity to open our gates for everyone to watch the regional team perform in the first full campaign of both the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and the Regional T20 competitions.

This will begin with the 23rd May friendly against Southern Vipers and continue throughout the early period of the season, including at The Kia Oval where a 25% capacity of the 27,000 seater ground will be in place.

There will be no ticketing for the fixtures.  To comply with track and trace protocols, details will be taken on entry to the venues and specific seating areas will be set aside where social distancing must be complied with.

On entry, spectators will be asked to ‘scan-in’ via a QR code and if that method isn’t possible, personal details will be taken.

South East Stars is the name of the academy and elite side representing Surrey & Kent at the regional level of the game, the highest standard in women’s domestic cricket. Five players are contracted professionally, including captain Tash Farrant, with the remainder of the squad chosen from both county squads set to be announced next week.

In the 50-over Rachael Heyhoe Flint Tropy and the Regional T20, they will face the best players from seven other regional centres of excellence across England & Wales.

Regional Director of Women’s Cricket Richard Bedbrook and Head Coach Johann Myburgh expect to announce this year’s squad in the lead up to the first competitive match on Saturday 29th May.

We look forward to seeing as many people attend and support elite women’s cricket in the region. Before attending, please read this document detailing the code of conduct for spectators.

If you can’t attend in person, matches will also be available via a live stream and updates will be provided on social media. To keep up with the side throughout the summer, follow South East Stars on Twitter and Instagram and subscribe to the YouTube channel, where live streams will be hosted.
