Surrey all-rounder Jamie Overton has been named the Dream11 MVP of this year’s Abu Dhabi T10 League after starring for Team Abu Dhabi.
Overton took 12 wickets in just 16.4 overs across nine matches as well as hitting 77 runs including a phenomenal 38 not out from just 11 balls. It helped his side, Team Abu Dhabi, to a third place finish after a play off victory over Qalandars.
The 26-year-old joined Surrey in the summer of 2020 and immediately stood out in the Vitality Blast, scoring vital lower order runs including a match winning knock at The Kia Oval against Sussex Sharks to guarantee Surrey’s quarter-final place.
Laurie Evans also played in the tournament, scoring 37 runs for Maratha Arabians who were eliminated at the group stage.
