Assistant Coach Richard Johnson believes Saturday’s third day against Gloucestershire was a positive one for Surrey.

Surrendering a 106 run deficit in the first innings of this LV= County Championship fixture in Bristol, Surrey had to battle back and looked to be doing just that when rain cut the third day short. Ben Foakes on 81* and Rory Burns’ 74 had taken Surrey to 232/5 with a lead of 126.

Foakes will resume with Clark on Sunday morning.

Every Surrey home match will be available to view either on kiaoval.com or Sky Sports this season, starting with next week’s meeting with Leicestershire at The Kia Oval on kiaoval.com and all Club channels.

The best way to get your seat at The Kia Oval when restrictions allow is with a 2021 Membership, starting from £69 for adults and £20 for U16s.
