Kemar Roach has returned home to Barbados to deal with a family matter.

Roach joined Surrey for a third season on a contract for the first six games of the year but will now miss the final game of the agreed period against Kent.

The quick bowler has once again been excellent in his spell at the Club, taking 18 wickets with best figures of 5/34. In that game against Warwickshire, Roach reached a significant personal milestone, taking his 500th First Class wicket.

Alec Stewart, Director of Cricket at Surrey CCC, said “I’d like to thank Kemar for his contributions on and off the field this summer. He has once again shown all the qualities that you want in an overseas player. He leaves with the very best wishes of everyone at the Club.”
