Chris Taylor, Head of the Talent Pathway at Surrey CCC said “Luke is a fine, young bowler who has excelled in recent years and has developed into a terrific cricketer. He is very mature and has a real passion for the sport, he’s keen to learn and understand as much about the game as he can.

“He is an aggressive, hard-working bowler and this is a brilliant opportunity for him to be around the first team and learn from the experienced players in the Surrey side. Developing talent has long been a hallmark of Surrey Cricket and we hope that Luke can follow in the footsteps of some of the excellent Surrey players who have gone before him.”

Alec Stewart, Director of Cricket at Surrey CCC, said “This is an excellent opportunity for Luke to join up with the first team and learn from the experienced professionals in this dressing room at an important stage in his development.

“Chris and the Talent Pathway team are doing an outstanding job in identifying and developing young cricketers. We always look to the Surrey Pathway first for our next generation of players and we’re incredibly proud of our track record of developing cricketers from our county.”
