Surrey all-rounder Will Jacks will play for Hobart Hurricanes in this year’s Big Bash League.

Jacks, who was named Vitality Blast Player of the Year after Surrey’s run to the final, will join up with former Surrey coach Michael Di Venuto, who is an Assistant Coach at the Tasmanian team.

The 21-year-old scored 309 runs from 12 innings and took 13 wickets from 32.2 overs as Surrey won nine consecutive matches in this year’s English competition.

Already scheduled to play in the Big Bash League this year are Tom Curran at the Sydney Sixers & Jason Roy at the Perth Scorchers. We’ll keep you up to date with everything our trio are up to in Australia on kiaoval.com.

Jacks said: “I am incredibly excited about joining the Hurricanes. I’ve heard from other English players how good the Big Bash is and I’m looking forward to the opportunity.

“We managed to reach the final of the T20 Blast at home this summer, so I’m looking forward to hopefully going one step further with Hobart. I know Diva very well from his time with Surrey, so I’m excited to work with him and head coach Adam Griffith.
